MicroControllers 6-7
Rubric
At a more advanced level, learning with micro:bits allows students to develop deeper coding and electronics skills while exploring more complex projects. They move beyond simple block-based programming to using text-based languages like Python or JavaScript to create intricate programs with multiple inputs, outputs, and sensors. Students can integrate components such as accelerometers, temperature sensors, or external devices, and explore concepts like data logging, wireless communication, and event-driven programming. By designing and debugging multi-step projects, they develop computational thinking, problem-solving, and systems-level understanding of how microcontrollers operate in real-world applications, preparing them for future learning in electronics, robotics, and embedded systems
